New BMW set to star at motor show

BMW is gearing up for the upcoming Thailand International Motor Expo with new models led by its X3 crossover.
Officially launched on Thursday, the X3 xDrive20d is priced at Bt3.699 million. It is powered by a 190-hp turbo diesel engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. New equipment includes 3-zone climate control, ambient lighting in six colours and a panoramic sunroof.
It also comes with the BMW display key, which not only locks and unlocks the vehicle by radio remote control, but also shows a variety of status information about the car and serves as the control unit for other functions of the vehicle.
Other BMW highlights at the Motor Expo, which starts at the end of this month, include the 630 GT M Sport, 530e M Sport, 760Li xDrive and 320d GT M Sport.
From January to October this year, BMW Group Thailand, which also includes the Mini brand, delivered a record 8,344 vehicles in Thailand – a rise of 28 per cent on the corresponding period last year.
Sales during the first 10 months of this year have already surpassed total sales in 2016, said Stephan Teuchert, president of BMW Group Thailand.
“Our iPerformance models has managed to set a record of its own, with 852 deliveries – an impressive increase of 234 per cent,” said Teuchert. “BMW Motorrad, meanwhile, managed 1,494 deliveries, 2 per cent higher than the same period last year.”
