Total Access Communications Plc, or DTAC has aimed to position itself as the preferred Internet service provider (ISP) for tourists in Thailand through providing better user experience.

The launch of their latest development – the first Chinese language SIM card – is expected to make major inroads in the Chinese tourist market, according to a company press release on Thursday.
This move followed a successful marketing campaign that propelled DTAC to the No. 1 spot in terms of tourist market share, with its DTAC Happy Tourist SIM card. Different types of services are offered for the tourist-focused cards, depending on the number of Internet usage days.
Meanwhile, Thailand is considered among the top destinations for tourist worldwide, with statistics from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports predicting 35 million tourist visits by the end of this year.
Of these, up to 33 per cent – or 12 million – will be Chinese tourists, a portion expected to rise to 20 per cent by 2018, or approximately 15 million Chinese tourists.
