Gucci and Bottega Veneta sunglasses stun with their opulence

SHOWN LAST year as part of Milan fashion week, luxurious sunglasses by such top brands as Bottega Veneta, Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent recently arrived in Bangkok, making a home for themselves at the equally luxurious N Kanzai boutique on the fourth floor of The EmQuartier.
Now the store, which is owned and run by Ratree Manoppong, is holding a trunk show, presenting top-of-the-range shades from Bottega Veneta. Limited to only 30 items for the entire global market, the latter’s special handcrafted collection is made of 18-karat gold with a pink gold frame. Bangkok shoppers wanting to own a pair will have to battle it out – just one pair of shades is available here – No 4 – and it’s going for a cool Bt250,000.

Feminine cateye shape shades enriched with crystal, Bt36,000

For its part, Gucci celebrates opulent luxury, aesthetics and jewellery with feminine cat-eye shape handcrafted frames enriched with precious pearls and gold studs on the front to glam up the eyebrows. The temples boast the iconic GG iconic logo on the temple and a bumblebee on the end tip. The colour palette is, as you’d expect, sophisticated.
Gucci also offers a range of oversized shapes that add a hint of mystery to the wearer with an equally oversized GG interlocking logo in gold. Playful and extravagant, the shades underline Gucci’s love for rich and opulent decors.
The Gucci man collection is also opulent, with shades fashioned from refined and high quality material including titanium and exclusive acetate, made in Japan. The iconic round style can be worn in two styles and as a clip on.
