Living like a local

Living like a local

Social enterprise Local Alike has joined forces with Everyday Krabi in creating one- and two-day trips to the southern coastal province until April 30.

On top of an invigorating beach experience, travellers will have the chance to experience how the local sea gypsies have developed their homes and created a sense of warmth within their villages, which are home to Buddhist, Muslim and Chinese communities.
Designed to promote community-based tourism, the packages offers five choices that allow guests to dress in the traditional Baba-Nyonya clothing and then enjoy a moonlit dinner or watch the gorgeous sunrise from the ocean sand ridge, which was named one of Thailand’s seven best tourist attractions in 2016.
The specially designed itineraries start from Bt1,000 and include time on Laem Sak Beach and forest conservation activities at Laem Sak Village and a private cruise to visit the mangrove forests and experience the life of an islander in Thungyeepeng on Lanta Island
Visitors can also spend the day soaking in the healing mineral water of a hot spring in Koh Klang Village or boost their adrenaline levels with an exciting forest adventure at Tree Top Adventure Park.
