Airline expects Bt10bn revenue in 2018

NokScoot expects total revenue achieve Bt10 billion in this year thanks to plans to open new routes to Japan and South Korea, the company’s chief executive officer, Yodchai Sudhidhanakul, said on Wednesday.

“If our flights to Japan and South Korea take off as planned, they will boost our combined revenue this year by more than 80 per cent to Bt10 billion, and raise our passenger tally to nearly 2 million,” Yodchai said.
“Our expansion will make a meaningful contribution to the progress of the aviation and tourism industries of Thailand, and offer increased travel options for Thais and international tourists alike,” Yodchai added.
Last year, the company boosted its revenue by 44 per cent from the previous year to Bt5.6 billion, carrying 37 per cent more passengers to a record 1.1 million. It also boosted its cabin factor to 87 per cent, 8 percentage points over the year earlier, he added.
