We’re getting nowhere here
As this column’s debates about both vegetarianism and Donald Trump grow ever more rancorous, we would do well to remember Nietzsche’s caution that there is no truth – only perspectives and interpretations driven by an individual’s interests or desires.
One guy’s hard facts are another person’s fake news. “Have Your Say” is great fun to read, but I doubt whether any “facts” revealed here have ever substantially changed anyone’s belief system. The more justifications of Trump I read, the more convinced I am that the president is a total nitwit, howbeit a dangerous one.
As my old and pugnacious rugby master said all those years ago, “Never mind the ball, boys, get on with the game!”
