Brunei telecom operator ups broadband offerings

TELEKOM Brunei Berhad (TelBru) will be rolling out a revised bandwidth-quota price structure of its existing broadband plans next month, and will also introduce a High Speed Quota-Based Plan to appeal to users such as online gamers and streamers, who require more speed as opposed to more data.

The introduction, according to TelBru, was made to reflect customers’ demand after reviewing customers need gathered from feedback.
The enhanced and new broadband options are being rolled out.
The new plan structure was announced by TelBru at a press conference by Kevin Yap, head of sales of TelBru.
Also present was Rusydina binti Haji Junaidi, manager of corporate communications unit at TelBru.
TelBru currently has three existing plans for users to choose from - Quota-Based Plan; Unlimited Plan; and Top-Up Plan, with each plan having different selections of price, speed and quota options, and the addition of the new High Speed Quota-Based Plan will provide more valued options for users.
According to TelBru, the concept of the enhanced and additional plans is to add more value and options for its customers, giving them the choice of plans that will suit their needs, whether they are looking for data or speed.
The top-up’selections are also revised to better suit the needs of its customers. Since the introduction of the data top-up in January 2015, TelBru has been analysing its top up value, and gathered suggestions and recommendations from customers value-added services.
These top ups can be purchased via My TelBru app or at any TelBru branches.
These initiatives are to enable Bruneians to access TelBru’s world-class ultra fast broadband technology at affordable rates while getting more data and speed options, which is an important step towards realising the vision of a smart society and enhancing the country’s international competitiveness.
TelBru added that existing customers subscribing to their Quota-Based or Unlimited Plan will be automatically migrated to the enhanced broadband plans.
Hence, a customer does not need to reapply for the same plan, unless they choose to apply for the newly introduced plans.
