SUPERNAP DATA CENTRE POISED FOR EEC GROWTH
The market opportunities for data centre services in Thailand and the Asean bloc are immense, according to Sunita Bottse, managing director of the advanced data centre operator Supernap Thailand.
The company has been serving customers both in Thailand and Asean countries for several months.
Governments in these countries have moved towards digital transformation and are trying to improve technology, infrastructure and connectivity, which in turn will create more demand for data centres, Sunita said.
In Thailand the market has grown rapidly with the implementation and adoption of technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence, and this has led to an increased to the need for scalable and secure data centres.
Supernap’s target customers are government entities, the banking and financial industry, insurance and healthcare providers, cloud solution providers, and international e-commerce companies.
The company’s location in Hemaraj Industrial Estate 2 in Chonburi province, puts Supernap in the best position to provide support to businesses, industries and international investors planning to invest in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the government’s new flagship investment zone designed to accommodate next-generation industries and meet the Thailand 4.0 policy, Sunita said.
