The Thailand national football team will wear new jerseys for the first time in this month’s King’s Cup Football Tournament at the Rajamangala National Stadium.

The two-time defending champions will don the blue home jerseys against Gabon on March 22 (7.30pm) in the friendly tournament, which also includes the Slovak Republic and United Arab Emirates.
The blue outfit is one of the Changsuek the Genesis collection, which also consists of the red away jerseys, white third-choice jerseys and two for the goalkeeper, green at home and grey for away matches.
According to Warrix Sport Company managing director Wisan Wanasaksrisakul, the new jerseys have been made to the same high standards as those worn by other countries.
“The texture is light and absorbs dampness well. It also helps to draw heat away from the body,” Wisan said.
Warrix have also released replica jerseys, available in red and blue at Bt990 apiece.

“What the players need from fans is to see and hear their support at the stadium. The fans are like the team’s twelfth player, pushing them to fight hard. They will try to defend the title and win for the third straight year to bring happiness to fans,” said Football Association of Thailand president Somyot Poompanmoung.
Several national players, including Thitipan Puangchan, Chalermpong Kordkaew, Nurul Sriyakem and Thai-Swede Kevin Deeromram, wore the new national outfits during yesterday’s outfit promotion at the Emquartier.
The 20-year-old Deeromram, who p[lays for Port FC, said he had no fears about facing Gabon, even though the visitors have several EPL players in their ranks, including Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
“We have to focus on our own game and play as well as we can. I believe we can stop them also,” said Deeromram, who will be making his second appearance in the national team after the SEA Games last year.
