Step on cyberbullying

Step on cyberbullying

The Digital Economy and Society Ministry and DTAC have jointly configured a collaborative working framework for an anti-cyberbullying programme to address the growing problem in Thailand.

“This public-private partnership has marked the year of integration between the government and stakeholders in taking action against cyberbullying and it's a good start to jointly address a social problem,” said Minister Pichet Durongkaveroj.
A survey by the National Statistical Office shows that youngsters (15-24 year-old) have the highest internet penetration rate of 89.8 per cent in 2017. Thais are also heavy users of social media, including 47 million Facebook accounts, 41 million Line accounts, 11 million Instagram accounts and 9 million Twitter accounts.
