Can Thailand resist new threat of colonialism?

Can Thailand resist new threat of colonialism?

Re: Sunday’s cartoon depicting the West’s Cold War mentality.

An excellent and very insightful depiction of today’s state of affairs in the globalising West, which is synonymous with financial power concentrated in London’s City, Wall Street, the Vatican and all the money manipulators with fiat currency created at the click of a mouse. Manipulating the dollar-led system is so easy and nefarious and destructive thanks to the establishment of the Fed (Federal Reserve System), which is a totally private entity encompassing European banks, of which shareholders names are kept secret. And the Fed is accountable only to itself.
This same entity represents the driving force behind globalisation and exploitation of the world’s economies with nothing more than fiat currency. I recommend John Perkins’s book “Confessions of an Economic Hitman” for anyone who wants to know all the facets and subtleties by which oligarchs steal their poor countries’ natural resources, enriching themselves and impoverishing local workers and the populace.
People should understand that the IMF, World Bank, BIS (Bank for International Settlements) and WTO are but control centres of the global economy. So is the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement, of which Thailand so far is not a member and hopefully never will be, since membership would mean signing away its sovereignty. The banding together of government and international corporatists is called fascism. Surely a proud country such as Thailand, having never been colonised, would be wise to uphold its independence and its sovereignty.
