Clearing up a misconception about PETA and pets

Clearing up a misconception about PETA and pets

Although there is not enough space in this entire newspaper to respond to all of Robin Grant’s lies, his most blatant lie is that PETA wants to take people’s pets away and force them to live in the woods.

PETA’s position is simply that people should get their pets from shelters (which is what many PETA members do themselves) instead of from breeders who are the root cause of the stray dog problem. Ironically, Grant claims to be a supporter of Soi Dog Foundation, an organisation that completely agrees with PETA on this issue.
As for the issue of vegetarianism, how can an animal rights group ignore the tens of billions of animals who are  raised under the most horrific conditions and then slaughtered for food that is not even necessary to eat?
I’d have more respect for Grant if he would spend just one half as much time speaking out against animal abuse as he does against animal rights activists.
