Prayut to become ringmaster of a starving flea circus
Let’s face it, the new election rule is tailor-made for PM Prayut to stay in power for at least eight years after the election. Nothing we can do but look for the silver lining in the cloud.
Let me use an analogy of ticks and a dog. Ticks feed on the blood of their canine host, hence the word “polyticks” (pun intentional). The ticks that are presently sucking blood from the dog are sated, so they are drawing slowly. We should not disturb them. If we get rid of them, another fresh and hungry swarm will come and take the little blood that the dog has left. Remember that the “unemployed” ticks have been out of job for over four years; they are starving to death.
Let’s hope that PM Prayut learns to control his temper and that he hires a good public speaking coach so he can speak decently like a competent leader of a country, not a redneck blatherskite.
