Buriram revs up for MotoGP with supercar series

BURIRAM WILL host the Chang Super GT touring-car race at the Chang International Circuit from June 30-July 1, as it revs up for Thailand’s first taste of top-tier motorcycle racing.

The northeastern racetrack will use the fourth stop on the Super GT series as a tune-up for the Thai debut of MotoGP in October. Two teams will represent Thailand in the international touring-car race – Arto Panther Team Thailand and Est Cola by AAS.

“Since we opened the Chang International Circuit in 2014 with the Super GT race, we have witnessed a growing enthusiasm for motorsport among Thais,” said Newin Chidchob, Chang International Circuit president.

“Having Arto Panther and Est Cola in the race shows that Thais are capable of running teams in a world-class race, and they are set to bring fame to the country here,” he added.
