A light shines from the north

Chiang Mai-based pop quintet Electric Neon Lamp isn’t only producing its songs, “Jeb Laew Ngai?” and “Tob Pak”, but also starring in the action scenes for the two music videos. These are directed by Pokpong Khumwan, who helmed last year’s horror flick “Siam Square”.

Singer Jensakda Jarana, guitarists Nawat Jiraboonraung and Tanphun Kanacharoen, bassist Wathanyu Suriyawong and drummer Ratcha Wattanachitranon play a group of treasure hunters who enter the forest armed and find themselves facing not only an explosion but also a tiger.
Both songs are centred on a love story. “Jeb Laew Ngai?” is mostly pop with a rap segment written and performed by Maiyarap while “Tob Pak” follows the trademark Electric Neon Lamp sound and talks about a good man with a bad mouth.

A life well lived

Getsunova encourages Thais to lead worthy lives in “Cheewit Thi Mee Cheewit” (“Live A Live”) featuring Bodyslam’s bassist Thanadol “Pid” Changsawek and produced by Big Ass’s guitarist Poonsak “Aof” Jaturaboon.
“This new song is written from our own lives. We are really opening ourselves to the world and living happily,” says singer Prakarn “Name” Raiva. “The music video focuses on Getsunova’s members who have to choose between running the family business and following their dreams of playing music. And as we did indeed follow our dreams, we want to encourage others to do the same.”
