Western newspapers not always right

Western newspapers not always right

I choked on my afternoon cup of tea when I read letter writer Nick’s contention that the New York Times, the Washington Post and the UK’s Financial Times are “respectable Western media”.

These three publications are among the worst of the worst in terms of blatant bias, fake non-news and cherry-picking of stories. Indeed, FT editor Peggy Hollinger spiked a story by an American professor who was reportedly told the FT “would not under any circumstances print it because it was contrary to our pro-EU policy”.
We are also treated to full-page articles about celebrity starlets who might or might not have had their bottoms felt by Harvey Weinstein, but when it comes to thousands of girls raped in the UK, absolutely stuff all.
Nick goes on to prove my point by noting that the media “believe that anyone who becomes a leader through an election can do no wrong”.
Except that it doesn’t. There is a plethora of alternative media that supports Nick’s views, so my advice to Nick is this: lift your nose out of the establishment mainstream media, and you will find out what else is going on in the world that the MSM doesn’t want you to know.
