Be nice – don’t starve Trump people

Be nice – don’t starve Trump people

My apologies to Paul of Khon Kaen for inflicting one more piece of Beasleian drivel on this column.

But I feel compelled to weigh in on the incident in which White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant because the owner didn’t like her service of what my husband calls the Trumpreich.
I am no fan of Donald Trump, but I find Ms Sanders’ expulsion from the restaurant, and Maxine Waters’ appeal for citizens to harass the Trump people, shameful, low-class, and extremely uncool.
Under President Trump, civility in the US has already reached a new low. Let’s not make it worse by joining in. Let’s follow (Michelle) Obama’s Law: When they go low, we go high. Let’s treat each other decently, and with respect, even when others don’t reciprocate. In short, be nice.
Our attitude towards Ms Sanders should be one of pity, not of condemnation, because she must have the most miserable job in the world.
