If ever there was a time for kind words and cooperation…

If ever there was a time for kind words and cooperation…

News that a high-ranking Thai police officer has been strongly criticised for questioning whether rescue officials had permission to operate at Tham Luang Cave in Chiang Rai – where 12 young footballers and their coach are trapped – was interesting.

This officer must have forgotten that his duty at the site was to facilitate the rescuers – not to show off his cleverness or power.
This incident should serve as a lesson for all of us Thais, that we should help one another both in word and in action whenever possible at times of crisis such as this.
Words of encouragement are what are needed while uncalled for criticism should be strictly avoided.
