PARK AT UNIVERSITY
The Electronic Transaction Development Agency (ETDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Dongguan City Committee on the construction of an e-commerce park.
It is expected the project will help spur e-commerce growth, estimated at 10 per cent by the end of this year.
Surangkana Wayuparb, executive director at ETDA, said the agency will also enter a MoU with Srinakharinwirot University for the set-up of the e-commerce park in the premises of the university.
“The e-commerce park will be established at Srinakharinwirot University in an area of 1,000 square metres. The agency expects the park will play a part in boosting e-commerce activities , which is expected to hit Bt2.5 trillion by end of this year, from Bt2.2 trillion last year," |she said.
