Doubts about God spark doubts about writer

Doubts about God spark doubts about writer

I found Egon’s defence of atheism to be silly. First, I was amused when he wrote about intelligent-looking ants.

Could he explain how an intelligent ant looks different from a stupid-looking one?
He then claims that intelligence may have happened “automatically”. How can someone who believes in science – which is about cause and effect – write that? If atheists say we shouldn’t believe God happened automatically, why should we believe that about intelligence?
Then Egon asks if there is a God why is there so much cruelty in the world? Maybe God created the world but isn’t interested in morality. Or maybe he can’t control everything people do. I don’t know the answers. That’s why I’m modest enough to be an agnostic.
