Tax incentives for setup of Thai office

The cabinet yesterday approved tax incentives for the establishment of a Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Thailand amid growing trade between Thailand and Hong Kong, Nattaporn Jatusripitak, spokesperson for the deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs, said after the meeting yesterday.

 He added that the meausres will be proposed to National Legislative Assembly in November of this year. The office will be set up next year. 

 The Finance Ministry has estimated that loss from these measures would average about Bt10 million a year but would boost bilateral trade volume. This is also a part of te government policy to promote the country as a financial hub in the region.
