A little perspective for Trump’s triumphant supporters
Dr Frank shows the absurdity of the Trump supporters for gloating about America’s low unemployment rate (“Justice undermined by a presidency built on lies”, October 9).
When unemployment under President Obama dropped from 9.2 per cent to 4.7 per cent the Republicans said that was because people dropped out of the workforce or part-time workers were being averaged into the statistics. But when unemployment goes down just one more percentage point under Donald Trump we’re told the only possible explanation is that Trump is a fantastic president.
But pity the poor Trump supporters. If they weren’t allowed to be hypocritical, ridiculous, bigoted and just plain stupid they wouldn’t be able to defend Trump in the first place.
