Like any gold rush, cryptocurrency frenzy is full of cut-throats

Like any gold rush, cryptocurrency frenzy is full of cut-throats

Cryptocurrency traders in the US have approached the regulators and requested they regulate and legitimise the industry.

This is mind-boggling. When regulators approached the industry at the height of the frenzy, they were told to back off and threatened with a bloody nose if they failed to do so.
Now, finally, the penny has dropped. Cryptocurrency traders, even though they won’t openly admit it, realise that the industry has become a lawless, underground haven for criminals, con-men, fraudsters, money launderers and extortionists. Unfortunately, it’s a little too late for tears. Many unsuspecting folk have been caught and lost a lot of hard-earned money. The next time you hear of a cryptocurrency gold rush, far better to enter the hardware business and sell shovels.
