Will the junta walk into the (t)rap?

Will the junta walk into the (t)rap?

Isn’t it going to be fun to see just how the NCPO deals with this toxic topic of a song by rappers that has proved very popular with Thai youth?

If they arrest, detain and charge the singers, all they are doing is proving the veracity of the lyrics, i.e. “the police use laws to threaten people, my country asks you to stay quiet or in jail.” Such actions will only prove the truth of the song and hence the inability to prosecute them for telling lies. The only way they can actually prove the song to be incorrect is to ignore it and leave the artists alone. Terrific.
If prosecution goes ahead it will not only prove the government to be hypocrites, it will tar the judiciary as nothing more than an instrument of the NCPO. As my young son has just told me, compare the words here with the ones on Gen Prayuths “Returning Hapiness’ and ask yourself which contains the most truth and honesty. You don’t need to be a high court judge to work out the answer to that.
