Contact lenses available online
Johnson & Johnson Vision, an importer of ACUVUE contact lenses, says it has partnered with Shopee, the e-commerce platform in Asean and Taiwan, to open an official ACUVUE store online.
Saowanee Punkajornwet of Vision Care said: “Thai consumers’ behaviour and needs have changed. With higher internet penetration, Thai consumers spend more time on the internet and social media. Following this, the opportunity for online sales has been increasing."
Johnson & Johnson Vision said 60 per cent of Thais who have vision corrections are able to access online treatment options.
It also has optical shops to educate consumers about the right contact lenses for their eye conditions.
