Buy less, reuse and make something

Buy less, reuse and make something

To disrupt “Black Friday”, the big sales day following Thanksgiving in the United States, as a major moment for consumerism, Greenpeace is encouraging people to buy less, repair, upcycle and transform old stuff.

In order to achieve that, the organisation is launching “Make Smthng Week” from Friday until December 2, with more than 260 events in 33 countries. In Thailand, the event will be held on the first floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre from Friday until Sunday, 10am to 9pm.
The event includes do-it-yourself workshops, in which participants can learn how to upcycle their stuff and follow the 7Rs: refuse, refill, return, repair, reuse, recycle and reduce.
Visit www.greenpeace.or.th for more information or join the Facebook page “DIY station: Make Smthng Buy Nothing”.
