KBank distributes two million red ‘Ang Pao’ envelopes
To celebrate the Chinese Year of the Earth Pig, KBank is distributing red “Ang Pao” envelopes depicting two auspicious pigs to customers. In Chinese culture, the pig represents abundance and symbolises fertility, prosperity, wealth and lots of good luck.
Pictured behind the two pigs is an auspicious money plant. According to Chinese myth, the plant’s branches and flowers blooming with ancient Chinese coins are believed to bring prosperity and wealth. The Ang Pao envelopes are being handed out to customers at all KBank branches nationwide, as a token of appreciation for their patronage.
