The greatest populist politicians in history
According to news last week, six “Gods” are scheduled to vote in Indonesia’s April 17 general elections.
Once they have had a taste of the ballot box, they might even seek office themselves, resulting in a six-God race to the highest office in the universe. How will they out-promise each other? Perhaps by pledging to round up the number of virgins that martyrs get from 72 to 75? Or allowing some of the virgins to be ladyboys? Permitting pole dancing after evening prayers? And, of course, by promising to build a wall so parents can’t see what is going on.
