Philosophical debate won by a punch on the nose

Ye Olde Pedant notes the absurdity of New Age “thinkers” claiming there is no such thing as objective reality. Years ago I went through an est psychology seminar and I kept hearing people say reality is just a matter of perception. I was tempted to go up to one of those people and punch him in the nose and say “Don’t worry, it’s just your perception that your nose is broken!”
It used to be that if someone denied physical reality we called him insane. Now we call him intellectually sophisticated. But that’s just my perception!
