Religion should be taught in schools – as mythology
I totally agree with Christian Knottone, that superstitious beliefs recede when people become educated.
Organised religions fear education more than anything and that is why so many religions (including Roman Catholicism) and faith-based nations (like Saudi Arabia) control what is taught and thought via their schools.
The world needs public schools that teach facts, not fiction and stupid dogma! Confine religion to the part of a history class that deals with strange and primitive beliefs from our past. Students can learn that at one time people believed in astrology and alchemy. Let religion rub shoulders with these and other ancient myths.
