Humankind slowly emerging from dark age of animal cruelty

It’s a miracle! For once I agree with Somsak Pola – Thomas Edison was no friend of the animals. He did indeed deliberately electrocute dogs in horrific experiments.
But if he had done that today in front of journalists there would have been a major public protest and he would have been disgraced.
Slowly (very slowly) but surely people are starting to understand the importance of animal rights. And the very animal rights activists and vegans whom Mr Pola always ridicules are the ones who are responsible for bringing about any improvements in animal welfare.
