Huawei and True are paving the way for next-generation connectivity with Thailand as the gateway to the Indochina region through the 5G-capable Huawei Mate 20 X 5G smartphone, which is the centerpiece of the “True 5G,

The 1st Showcase Roadshow : Driving Force of the Nation” booth at the Thai Chamber of Commerce Fair 2019 in Khon Kaen.

True and Huawei joined up to showcase 5G video call capabilities on the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G at the event, with the device recording a connection speed beyond 1 Gbps, enabling fast downloads of large files as well as video streaming or video calls at 4K resolution with no stuttering or interruption.

Ingmar Wang, Country Director, Huawei Consumer Business Group, said: “We are honored to be the first to showcase the capabilities of a 5G smartphone together with True for the public to experience.

Huawei sees research and development as a matter of very high priority. Today, we are the world’s leading holders of 5G infrastructure patents. As a global pioneer in 5G technology, we hope to bring the latest and fastest 5G experience to Thai consumers in the near future.”

Huawei has to date signed more than 30 contracts to take part in the development of commercial 5G networks. Many countries with advanced technological capabilities have already begun 5G service rollout in recent months. In Thailand, Huawei continues to invest in the country’s telecommunications industry and has supported 5G tests since last year. Huawei will also provide support for Thailand’s 5G-related policies as well as the development of a capable ICT workforce for the 5G era.

The fair continues through Sunday (July 7) at Khon Kaen International Convention and Exhibition Centre and is open daily from 10am to 8pm.
