Investor confidence in capital markets expected to continue
The investor confidence index for the three months to September has risen 25.50 per cent to 109.44, according to a July survey conducted by the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisations (Fetco).
Fetco chairman Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn said the stronger confidence had been driven mainly by investors’ expectations of the incoming government introducing new economic stimulus packages .
He also noted that public optimism had already been reflected in Thailand's stock index rising from 1,622 in early June to a peak of between 1,720 and 1,730 later in the month.
