A comfy sofa in 90 seconds
Japanese crowd-funding service Makuake promises to make days on the beach or in the countryside more comfortable with the introduction of an inflatable Nylon Fabric Air Sofa –AirThrone that inflates in just 90 seconds from a smartphone.
The Air sofa comes with a powerful small electric pump that requires so little power to operate that all you need do is connect it to a smartphone or mobile battery. No app is required and the pump, which sounds rather like a hair-dryer, supports lightning cable (iPhone), a micro USB cable and a USB Type-C cable.
The power consumed for inflating the Air sofa is about 60 mAh, meaning that a fully charged iPhone XS will consume about 2 per cent of its power while inflating though a manual pump will also do the trick. Users can adjust the sofa to their comfort level by deflating it. Just open the flap at the bottom of the sofa to allow the air to escape.
Two people can sit and relax on the Air Throne as it can take up to 200 kg in weight. High airtightness is achieved by a double-stitch method and PU sealing tape. Air Throne is available in two sizes and three colors – grey, magenta and turquoise.
