Infused with fresh capital, Brainwake has ambitious plans
Brainwake Group Co, which operates nine “Thai-style” cafes in Bangkok, has increased its registered capital to Bt150 million after a large corporation joined its stockholders.
Chairman Suranand Vejjajiva said this week that he holds a 20-per-cent stake, Sammakorn Group 19 per cent, and an SET-listed company whose name he declined to reveal 13 per cent. Japanese and other Thai entities control the balance.
Brainwake’s revenue to date this year is Bt52 million, up from Bt43 million during the same period last year, and it expects to reach Bt100 million next year when it adds more branches in Bangkok and opens others in Chiang Mai, Phuket and elsewhere.
Suranand said Brainwake would be listed on the stock exchange and begin an overseas expansion in the next three to five years.
