Crackdown sees several injured

At least two policemen were reportedly shot and injured and a protester was hurt in a clash on Rajdamnoen Road Tuesday morning.

The clash started at 11:20 when police opened fire at the protesters.
Gunfire has been heard sporadically since then with the police starting a tactical retreat at noon..
Two key members of the People's Democratic Reform Committee have been arrested.
Dr Rawee Maschamadol from the People’s Army to Overthrow the Thaksin Regime was arrested a little after 8am as police successfully reclaimed the protest area around the Energy Ministry. Meanwhile, Somkiat Pongpaiboon from People Assembly Reforming Thailand was arrested at Phan Fah Lilat Bridge rally site, where tear gas has been fired since 11.20am.
Nation News Agency reporters witnessed the use of real ammunition and grenades during the clash at Phan Fah Bridge.
