These artefacts are among the 43 that were confiscated from smugglers by Thai authorities in 1999. Thailand returned seven of these to Cambodia in 2009. During his visit, the two countries are also set to announce the upgrading of a border checkpoint between Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province and Thailand’s Ubon Ratchathani province to an international checkpoint. The Cambodian minister flies back tomorrow.
