The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization) or SACICT revealed the success of the event gathering the greatest and most numerous ethnic crafts that perfectly fulfill the present lifestyles in “The Second-Year New Lease of Life under the Queen Mother Patronage” Event held at The EmQuartier Shopping Mall on 8-12 August, 2019.
Mrs. Amparwon Pichalai, Chief Executive Officer of The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization) stated that the Second-Year New Lease of Life under the Queen Mother Patronage” event was organized to honor on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s birthday, where all craft stories of tribes and ethnic groups have been greatly gathered. This event was held on 8-12 August, 2019 at The EmQuartier Shopping Mall. Along these 5 days, master craftsmen, heritage artisans, and SACICT members could meet the buyers while worthiness and attractiveness of tribal and ethnic crafts have been “passed on”, which deemed another success of this event.
During these 5 days, the event has been visited by a great number of visitors who all felt impressed in such rare products, especially those with tribal and ethnic identities, either in the original and applied patterns. The customers who came to buy some of these products on the first day of this event came back to buy more while the business negotiations were also allowed. The sale sum in the Second-Year New Lease of Life under the Queen Mother Patronage” event held on 8-12 August, 2019 totaled THB 13,432,115, exceeding the targeted amount for THB 5,132,115.
Another invaluable achievement is the transfer of knowledge about the tribal craft. This helps encourage Thai craftsmen’s spirit, and inspire them to succeed our heritage of wisdom.
