Sek Loso says he has no intention of taking over Police United

Thai rock star Seksan Sukpimai has made it clear he has no intention of taking over cash-strapped Thai Premier League newcomers Police United, saying he will only intervene to help run the club.

Seksan, better known as Sek Loso, caused a stir earlier this week by postฌing a photo of himself displaying Police United’s new jersey plastered with the logo of his energy drink, Loso D. It led to speculation that the rock star, one of the most famous singers of his generation, was set to take control of the side.  Yesterday, he confirmed that discussions between him and the club, which reportedly has not paid player wages for five months, had taken place but they were not concerned with the prospect of him taking part in the club’s management.
“As you all know from the media reports, I’m now in talks with Khun Big [Samrit Bunditkitsada, the Police United president] about running the team together. We’re in the process of drawing up a memorandum of understanding which will clarify my role. “As for the takeover bid, it’s not true since I don’t have the money to buy a football club, which would normally require several billions.
“There will be more clarity next week. I don’t want to talk to the media at the moment because it is unclear. I’m a footballlover. I wouldn’t seek any profit should I get a chance to take part in the running of the club,” Seksan said in a video clip posted on his Facebook fan page.
