Pornanong Trails Leader One Stroke
Thai No 1 Pornanong Phatlum carded an opening 69 to trail leader Ploychompoo Wilairungrueng by one stroke in the BT1 Million Bangchak Thai LPGA Open at the Panya Ramindra Golf Club on Wednesday.
The Kingdom’s ace shot four birdies against a lone bogey on the 11 th hole at the par 72 6,349 yard landscape.
“I’m happy to play at home again. I’m still a bit tired from getting vaccinated for the Olympic Games in Brazil. It’s nice to see a lot of young players doing so well in this tournament. I think the winning score should be above 10 under,” said Pornanong from Chaiyabhum province. Her second place was also shared by Nattagate Nimitpongkul, Saraporn Chamchoi and Wanchana Poruangrong.
Ploychompoo, 21, fought back from a bogey on the third hole to shoot five birdies for an opening 68.
