Pornanong Beats Sherman By One Stroke for Bangchak Open Title.

World No 41 Pornanong Phatlum beat young rival Sherman Santiwiwatthanaphong by one stroke to claim the BT1 Million Bangjak Thai LPGA Open at the Ramindra Golf Course on Friday.

The Thai No 1 carded three birdies against two bogies at the front nine before she fired three more birdies at the back to end with a 68 and a three day total of 11-under-par 205.

“I always practise at this course so I’m very well familiar with the condition here. I had a low start everyday and would get my momentum at the back. It’s fun to play with these young players who gave me a close fight,” said Pornanong, who will next head for Pattaya for the LPGA event at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course. 

Shermanwith an ending 65 took the second place with a total 10-under-par 206 and took home BT67,700. Yoktuan Pavarisa closed the top three with a total 208.
