Thepbadin Fires a 65 to Take Clubhouse 2nd Round Lead in Khon Kaen

Thepbadin Amaranan fired a superb 65 to take the clubhouse lead during the second round of the All Thailand Premier Championship at the Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club on Friday.

The Chiang Rai born shot eight birdies against a lone bogey on the 16 th hole to take a four shot lead over Pawin Ingkhapradit and overnight leader Atthaphon Sriboonkaew at the damp par 72 7,352 yard course. In fact Thepbadin had to finish his first round early on Friday’s morning as play was stopped on Thursday due to weather condition (he had five more holes to complete).

“I putted very well. I made several 10-foot putts today which was the key,” said the 31-year-old Thepbadin.

“As the greens are quite damp from the yesterday’s rain, the ball didn’t roll much. I hope to putt like this again going to the weekend rounds to create my chance in this tournament,” added Thepbadin whose best attempt in a local tour was the second place finish in the Thai PGA Tour at the Majestic Greek Golf Club in May.
