Pinrath Claims 2nd Career Title in Laem Chabang

Pinrath Loomboonruang lifted up her second career title after carding a finishing even par 71 to beat Parinda Phokan by two strokes in the women’s individual of the Bt3 Million Singha Panasonic all Thailand Championship at the par 71 6,389 yard Laem Chaba

The 20-year-old Sukhothai Thammathirat University student who just celebrated her maiden victory at in the Thai LPGA event at the Black Mountain Golf Course in Hua Hin in July came back from a double bogey on the 15th to fire two birdies on the 16th and 18th holes to finish with three-under-par 210.

“I didn’t play well in the previous circuit (in Khon Kaen two weeks ago) so I intended to make amends this week. I came here with a game plan, trying to finish each round with under par and didn’t take risks at difficult holes,” said Pinrath who took the winner’s prize of Bt32,000. It was her first trophy on the All Thailand Tour.

Before July, Pinrath had never won any title after turning professional for four years. She said after winning her maiden, it was easier for her to achieve the second.

“In the past I only had myself to blame. I wanted to win too much and ended up making mistakes and failed. But now I feel more relaxed which leads to better results,” added Pinrath.

The Nonthaburi based will next enter the Thai LPGA Masters in Bangkok before testing her mettles in the Taiwan Tour Qualifying School.

“I think the condition in Taiwan is very tough in Taiwan with strong winds and rains. If I can survive the condition in Taiwan especially playing under the rain, it should prepare me better before trying in the LPGA Qualifying School.”

Following two strokes behind was Parinda who carded an ending 70 for  total one-under-par 212 with Preenaphan Poomklay finishing at third with four-over-par 217.
