50-Year-Old Prayad Wins 4th Senior Japan Tour Title in 2016.

Veteran Prayad Marksaeng clinched his fourth Senior Japan Tour title of the year after he beat Briton Barry Lane by eight strokes in the final of the JPY50 Million (Bt16.9 Million) PGA Senior Championship Sumitomo Corporation Summit Cup in Irabaki, Japan

The 50-year-old from Hua Hin signed off with a finishing 69 and a four day total of 20-under-par 268 at the par 72 7,019 yard  Summit Golf Course.

“I’m glad to win another Japan Senior Tour this year. I was playing well this week especially my putting game. The fairways are narrow but the green are wide. I have no problem with this type of course as I like to hit long putts,” said Prayad who won the winner’s prize money of JPY10 Million (Around BT3.3 Million).

“Even I had to finish the third round in the morning because of the rain, I had no pressure at all. Now I hope to finish No 1 on the Order of Merits on the Senior Japan Tour this year,” added Prayad.

Lane with an ending 67 followed at second with a total 12-udner-par 276. The Japanese trio of Masahiro Kuramoto,  Yoichi Shimizu and Toru Suzuki were tied at third, each with a 292.
