Betagro Signs Sponsorship Deal with Six New Promising Golfers

pions. BETAGRO Group signed a deal with six rising star golfers including Asian Tour young guns Pavit Tangkamolprasert, Danthai Boonma and Natipong Srithong and LPGA rookie Wichanee Meechai under its project called “Betagro Pro Golf Quality”.

The two-year-sponsorship agreements  with the six players which also consists of Saraporn Chamcoi and Mookarin Ladgratok is the company’s further step in supporting leading Thai golfers after it already inked contracts with Thongchai Jaidee, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and the Jutanugarn’s sisters Ariya and Moriya.

 “Betagro Pro Golf Quality” is aimed to support young Thai golfers to have the  opportunity  to  step  into  world-class  golf tournaments,” said Vasit Taepaisitphongse, President of BETAGRO Group, which is in food processing business.

“We believe that the support for the “quality people” such as these new generation golfers under this project will serve as an encouragement for other golfers to improve their skills and help open up more opportunities for golfers in Thailand to enter the global competitions.  Ultimately, we hope they will bring pride, fame and happiness to the people of Thailand,” he added.

The company officially sponsored Thongchai, who is also the brand ambassador in 2009. Thongchai, winner of eight European titles, was confident the newly signed male players would become the country’s new hopes to gain recognition in the global arena within a few years.

“This support is a boost for them to keep working hard and pursue their dreams on the bigger tours. The three guys are showing good results on the international level. They just need more time to learn and gain experience to cope with all types of situation on the tour,” said Thongchai who will launch his first actions in 2017 in the next week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Tied up with work and activities, the 49-year-old Thai No 1 admitted he just started picking up the clubs on Sunday. He, however, needed a few more months to work on his game and return to full fitness.

“What I’m more concerned at this point of my career is to be more selective about my tour schedule and to fix on my putting which was a loophole in my game in the past 12 months. I played so many  events in 2016, so I will trim down my schedule and focus on some events only,” added the world No 54.

“I also have to improve on my fitness level which is very essential for a player my age. Good physical condition and experience on the tour is what I have to compete against the younger players out there.”

Twenty-four-year-old Wichanee, one of the two Thais who finished top 10 on the Symetra Tour which earned them a full card on the LPGA this year set her sights on winning a title as a rookie this year.

“My goal is to keep the card for 2018 season and win an LPGA title. It won’t be easy but a year on the  Symetra Tour gave me some experience which shall
