Chappuis signs three-year deal with Muang Thong
Football heart-throb Charyl Chappuis signed a three year contract with SCG Muang Thong United on Monday.
The 25-year-old Swiss-Thai left Suphanburi which he represented between 2015-2017 to join several national teammates in the reigning Thailand League winner.
“I’m really happy to be here and meet my teammates in the national team. I’m really thankful to be part of the Muangthong United and I will try my best to help the team,” said midfielder.
“They are all great players. I played with Theerathorn (Bunmathan) already long time. I met him and I think he is really happy that I come . I want to help the team to get their goals. That’s the league title for sure. It’s really great to be here with the great players,” added Chappuis who will wear No 23 in the up-coming season.
“This is a new challenge for me. I like David Beckham and Michael Jordan , they are great idols in sports. So I chose 23.”
Asked about pressure, he said: “I know there’s a lot of pressure. The fans cheer me. It’s part of life. But I think about football only, not what happens out of the field.”
