Muangthong win 2nd straight League Cup title
SCG Muangthong United defended their League Cup crown after they beat Chiangrai United 2-0 at the Supachalasai Stadium on Wednesday.
The reigning champions’ two goals came from Peerapat Notchaiya and captain Teerasil Dangda in the 35 th and 60 th minutes.
This marked Muangthong’s first time as single champions after they shared the title with Buriram United in the last season.
Teerasil was named the best player which earned him a Toyota Fortuner while Muangthong won best manners award.
For Chiangrai, they look forwards to making amends in the Saturday's Toyota League Cup final shoowdown against Buriram.
