Plenty at stake for star names in tour finale

All Thai golf stars  gather this week for the season-ending ADT-All Thailand Tour co-sanctioned Bt4 Million Boonchu Ruangkit Championship which gets underway on Thursday at the par 71 6,795 yard Rancho Charnvee Resort and Country Club.

All the nation’s top players spearheaded by Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Thongchai Jaidee will be in actions in the event staged to pay homage to living legend Boonchu Runagkit. All Thai big-name players and families will be in Nakhon Ratchasima not only to compete for the winner’s cheque of Bt700,000 but also for a traditional gathering before the New Year.

The tournament will also decide who will be crowned the year’s No 1 player on the All Thailand Tour. Current leader’s Panuphol Pittayarat is the favourite for the Order of Merit title with a total gross of Bt 1,418,000 million with 2017’s two-circuit winner Chanachok Dejpiratanamongkol and Jakraphan Premsirigorn following with Bt983,600 and Bt904,415 earnings respectively.

However, four other players including defending champion Danthai Boonma could also surpass Panuphol providing that they win the event and Panuphol fails to survive the weekend cut. All Thailand Tour’s Order of Merit winner will receive an invitation to the next year’s Singapore Open, a co-sanctioned Asian-Japan Tour.

The No 1 spot on the Asian Development Tour will also be decided. 

Thailand's Pannakorn Uthaipas currently leads with earnings of US$54,827, followed by Massaru Takahashi of Japan with US$48,935. 
The Top five players on the ADT rankings in 2017 will receive full cards into the Asian Tour next season.
