Roller fires fast goal as Thailand tame Hong Kong in friendly game
Philip Roller’s early goal gave Thailand a 1-0 win over Hong Kong in their friendly game at the Mongkok Stadium on Thursday.
The Thai German of Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC’s generated the only goal in the game through a pass from Buriram United’s Supachai Jaided just two minutes after the first whistle.
The match with Hong Kong is one of the two International A Match games for Thailand. The other is the encounter with Trinidad and Tobago in Siphanburi on Sunday.
Thailand’s national coach Milovan Rajevac said: “The game against Hong Kong is a good test for us. They have tall players and used high ball against us all the time. We learned a lot from the game while several players have been sent to gain experience for the first time.”
