Brilliant Luksika eyes on second WTA 125K crown

Luksika Kumkhum reached her second WTA 125K Series final after she toppled  Bibiane Schoofs of the Netherlands 7-5 6-3 in the US$125,000 Taipei OEC Open on Saturday.

The world No 81 who just claimed her maiden 125K series title in India two weeks ago dominated play with her attacking double fisted groundstrokes to win the semi-final clash against the 211st-ranked opponent in one hour and 30 minutes.

Luksika will play former world No 12 Sabine Lisicki of Germany in the final on Sunday. The 2013 Wimbledon finalist, now ranked 262nd in the world, beat Vitalia Diatchenko of Russia 1-6 6-3 7-5 to reach the final.

The Thai ace will play the German for the first time. Lisicki in on a comeback trail after injury problems that saw her drop down in the world ranking.
